Nigerian gospel singer, Tope Alabi has shared her joy following the birth of her grandchild, describing the moment as a dream come true and expressing pride in her daughter, Ayomikun Alabi.
In an Instagram post on Friday, Alabi announced that her first child has given birth to a child, following the unveiling of her baby bump in a new music video with colleague, BBO
“I’m eternally grateful to God for this joyful addition to my family. Indeed Ayomiku, ayo si kun inu mi,” Alabi wrote.
She went on to praise her daughter for the woman and mother she has become, saying, “My beautiful, strong girl @the_ayomikualabi_ I am so proud of the woman and mother you have become. Welcome to the world, my darling grandchild, I have dreamt of holding you for so long and now I’m showering you with kisses as I watch you grow.”
Alabi described her new role as a grandmother as her favourite, adding, “Being your grandma is my new favourite role. Big congratulations to the Bantales.”
The announcement follows Ayomikun’s recent private wedding to Oluwole Bantale in 2025.
While the ceremony was intended to be intimate, several photos and clips from the wedding have surfaced online, capturing the celebrations.
Several top stars were in attendance, including Nollywood actress Funke Akindele, and social media users shared their reactions to the videos after it surfaced online after the event, celebrating the union and Alabi’s family milestone.
