Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has revealed that she may have become a billionaire if she had chosen to compromise her personal values during her career.
The award-winning actress made the revelation while speaking as a guest on The Afropolitan Show, where she reflected on the choices she has made throughout her decades-long career in the entertainment industry.
According to the actress, she was offered several lucrative deals that could have significantly increased her wealth, but she chose to reject them because they conflicted with her principles.
Omotola explained that many of the opportunities promised huge financial rewards, but accepting them would have required her to compromise her beliefs.
She said despite the temptation that came with the financial offers, she often chose to walk away rather than betray her values.
“If I wanted to be a billionaire, I would have been it easily because I have been in situations where no one would have known, and I would have taken things and compromised my stands, but I would say no, and I would walk away,” she said.
The actress added that she faced such situations on several occasions during her career and remained firm in her decisions, even though the individuals who made those offers continue to watch her career today.
Omotola noted that remaining true to her principles has brought her a sense of fulfillment that cannot be measured by money.
