The Proprietress of Mahnatez International School, Oluyole, Hajia Bolatito Adebisi, has charged parents to dwell more on promoting religious co-existence among their children to help them develop empathy, respect, and understanding for different beliefs, leading to a more harmonious society.

‎She gave the advice at the 3rd edition of the school’s annual Ramadan Lecture and Iftar programme held on Saturday.

‎Grandma Adebisi, who described education as a way to empower students to contribute positively to society, emphasized that promoting religious co-existence in the school environment will ensure inclusiveness, aiming to give respect and accommodate different religious practices to foster a supportive learning environment and promote academic excellence.

‎Mahnatez International School Proprietress maintained that the school’s policy to allow Muslim students to wear hijab is to enhance a sense of belonging and comfort, potentially positively impacting their ability to focus on learning.

‎She appreciated the parents, staff, and well-wishers for making the 2026 Ramadan lecture and iftar a success, and particularly thanked the guest lecturers for their inspiring and enlightening messages.

‎”Not only am I touched by your contributions, I also feel immensely blessed that the Mahnatez Muslim family is indeed a loving and caring community of like minds. I enjoin us to continue in this great stride and continue to help our children grow in love, honesty, and commitment. May the almighty Allah bless and honour you greatly,” Hajia Adebisi said.

‎In a lecture on the theme “Good Conduct (Islamic Perspective) During and Beyond Ramadan”, the Vice Principal, Qibla School, Alesinloye, Ustadz Abdulrasheed Musa, described good conduct as an approach to all affairs and execution, which, he said, encompasses all forms of righteousness.

‎The Islamic scholar identified truthfulness, trustworthiness, honesty, and empathy as good examples of good conduct, which every good Muslim must possess, inculcate, and demonstrate in every position.

‎Ustadz Musa clarified that a good Muslim must not rely on his solat and iman as the only components that will make him a citizen of paradise; however, he emphasized that good conduct, our relationship with others, and empathy towards humans and even animals take a larger percentage of the components.

‎He admonished Muslim faithful to be conscious of their rights, duties, and kind to their children, parents, and institutions, revealing that a good Muslim must not be a source of discomfort to another person.

‎Speaking about the importance of Lailatul Qadri (Night of Majesty), Prof. Lateef Abass said Muslims should prioritize appreciating the almighty Allah for availing them the holy month of Ramadan, which, he said, gives every Muslim the opportunity to be a newborn.

‎He described Ramadan as a divine month, full of blessings, and the month Allah blessed the world with His words through the Holy Quran through Prophet Muhammed (SAW) to serve as a guide and way of life to humanity.

‎He urged all Muslims to take every activity during Ramadan seriously, saying that it is a month that Allah avails Muslims to redefine their destiny.

‎The 2026 Mahnatez International School Ramadan lecture was highlighted by a short drama centered on a detailed analysis, process, and significance of Hajj as one of the pillars of Islam, observation of Solat, and iftar.

‎It was attended by notable personalities, including Alhaja Kudirat Bada, parents, and guardians of the school.
