The foremost son of the former Attorney-General of the Federation and 1st Executive Governor of Old Oyo State, Bola Ige, Sir (Arc) Muyiwa Ige, has conveyed the Bola Ige family’s condolences to the family of the highly respected elder in Osun, Chief Yuusuf Amuda Lawal, popularly known as Ọbẹ̀làwọ̀, who passed away at the ripe age of 95.

‎In a condolence message personally authored by the former Commissioner for Lands, Physical Planning and Urban Development in Osun State, Sir (Arc.) Muyiwa Ige extolled and lauded the life of selfless service to humanity lived by Baba Obelawo. He stated that the late iconic father’s contributions to the business community and the lives of many people were truly legendary.

‎According to him, Baba Obelawo, while alive, was a successful and accomplished business mogul whose companies employed hundreds of workers who earned their livelihoods through his enterprises. He was also very close to their father, the 1st Executive Governor of Old Oyo State.

‎“The Bola Ige family commiserates and condoles with the family of Baba Yuusuf Amuda Lawal, otherwise known as Obelawo, over the transition of their beloved father. I pray that Almighty God will accept Baba’s soul, forgive his shortcomings and grant the family the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss.”
