The National Productivity Centre, a federal government parastatal charged with the mandate of stimulating, promoting, and sustaining productivity culture among individuals and organizations in the nation, also has the primary role of productivity in socioeconomic growth and development. On Tuesday, March 24, 2026, the Enugu office of the National Productivity Centre conducted a productivity awareness lecture for staff of the National Orientation Agency Enugu State Directorate.

State Director NOA Enugu, Mrs. Clara Chinyere Nwachukwu, ably represented by the Deputy Director Mr. Chidi Unobagha, gave them a warm welcome and applauded them for their good work. She urged NOA staff to approach the training as a mandatory responsibility, ensuring they left with actionable insights.

The National Productivity Centre Enugu Office boss, Mr. Ujoh Kingsley, in his presentation defined productivity as output over input, or the optimum utilization of all available input resources—land, labor, capital, energy, information, technology, knowledge, etc.—to produce the desired goods and services. He also talked about being efficient on the job, describing efficiency as the judicious utilization of available material to produce desired results.

Mr. Ujoh encouraged the NOA staff to improve service delivery through better work ethics and enhanced efficiency and also organize their work and office environment to minimize wastage in time and resources.

In his vote of thanks, Mr. Chidi Unobagha, Deputy Director of NOA Enugu, appreciated the National Productivity Centre Enugu Office for the awareness and assured them that NOA Enugu will utilize it well.
