The lawmaker representing Ibadan South-East Constituency II in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Olayinka Omikunle, has dismissed allegations linking him to any plot aimed at destabilising the state government.
Omikunle described the claims as false and unfounded, stressing that he was neither invited nor involved in any meeting or discussion to undermine the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde.
He maintained that any report suggesting his involvement in a conspiracy to remove the governor is a deliberate misrepresentation of his person and office.
The lawmaker reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the Oyo State Government and to Governor Makinde, noting that he remains committed to the administration’s vision and developmental agenda.
According to him, he would not support or associate with any action capable of threatening the peace and stability of the state.
Omikunle further stated that the current administration prioritises the welfare of the people and has simplified governance, making Oyo State a model for others in the country.
He urged members of the public to disregard any misinformation linking him to activities contrary to his principles, adding that he remains committed to peace, democratic order, and the continued progress of the state.
