The family of the late veteran journalist, editor, and media executive, Clement Ige, has announced plans for his burial ceremony following his passing on April 29, 2026.
The notice of the funeral was made available to journalists by the family in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo State.
The family described the late Ige, the seasoned media professional, particularly known for his association with music legend King Sunny Ade, as a devoted brother, father, and grandfather, stating that the respected journalist will be laid to rest on Saturday, June 6, 2026.
The burial ceremony is scheduled to hold at 5 Kano Crescent, Ire Akari Estate, New Felele, Soka, Ibadan, behind Aweni Apartment at 11 am prompt.
Mr. Ige, born in August 1958, passed away at the age of 67.
According to a close associate of the family, he stated that the ceremony will provide an opportunity for loved ones to celebrate his life and legacy.
He is survived by children and grandchildren.
