The Senate and House of Representatives on Thursday adjourned plenary sessions till July 7, 2026.
President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, made the announcement separately during the plenary.
The adjournment is apparently meant to enable lawmakers to partake in the Democracy Day celebrations as well as the Ekiti State Governorship elections slated for June 20, 2026, among others.
