English Premier League giants Manchester United have reportedly identified Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, as one of their main transfer targets as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.
The Red Devils finished third last term to secure a return to the Champions League, allowing the club to attract world-class talent in the summer transfer window.
They are keen to add greater firepower to their frontline and have drawn up a shortlist of five forwards capable of providing competition and support for Slovenian striker Benjamin Šeško.
According to the Caught Offside report, Osimhen “is viewed as the dream target” for manager Michael Carrick, who is keen on bringing in the pacey over the coming months.
The 27-year-old enjoyed an outstanding season with Turkish champions Galatasaray, scoring 22 goals and providing eight assists across all competitions.
His combination of pace, power, aerial dominance, and clinical finishing has made him one of the most sought-after strikers in world football.
However, any move for Osimhen is expected to be far from straightforward. United would likely face stiff competition from rival clubs across Europe, while the transfer fee required to secure his services could prove a major obstacle.
Osimhen has long been linked with a move to the Premier League and remains one of the most highly regarded forwards on the transfer market.
