Farmers across Ekiti State have commended Dr. Oluwatosin Ademola Ojo for his sustained support for agricultural development, describing his interventions as a major boost to farming activities and food production in the state.
The commendation was made by members of the Ekiti Farmers Forum, who also expressed optimism over the proposed Ekiti Farm Summit, saying the initiative would further reposition the agricultural sector, improve farmers’ welfare, and enhance food security in the state.
The farmers specifically acknowledged the contributions of the Dr. Ademola Ojo Farming and Feeding Initiative and the Sade-Ademola Foundation, noting that the provision of essential agricultural support has positively impacted farming operations and increased productivity across various communities.
According to the forum, continued investment in agriculture remains vital to achieving sustainable economic growth and ensuring food sufficiency in Ekiti State.
The group also congratulated the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO), on his re-election, describing his victory as a clear demonstration of the confidence reposed in his administration by the people of the state.
The farmers urged other Ekiti indigenes in the diaspora to emulate Dr. Ojo, who is the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Mpumalanga Province, South Africa, by supporting agricultural development and empowering farmers in their home state.
They further reaffirmed their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State ahead of the 2027 general elections, expressing confidence in the party’s commitment to agricultural development and national growth.
