Nigeria’s Super Falcons have intensified preparations for their 2028 Olympic Games qualifying campaign, with the team now 26 players strong ahead of their first-leg clash with Comoros.
Five additional players arrived between Tuesday and the early hours of Wednesday; completing the latest round of arrivals, interim coach Augustine Eguavoen continues to assemble his squad for the crucial tie.
The Nigerian side will hold training sessions on Wednesday and Thursday as preparations gather pace for Friday’s opening leg at the Remo Stars Stadium.
The Falcons will then travel for the return fixture next Tuesday, with the team seeking to establish an advantage in the first leg before heading into the decisive encounter.
The squad features a blend of experienced internationals plying their trade in Europe, Asia, North America, and Africa, alongside players from the Nigerian domestic league.
Captain Rasheedat Ajibade is among those in camp, alongside Jennifer Echegini, Toni Payne, Christy Ucheibe, Michelle Alozie, Chiamaka Nnadozie, Gift Monday, and Uchenna Kanu.

With the bulk of the squad now assembled, attention will turn to the Falcons’ final training sessions before the Comoros encounter.
