The National Orientation Agency has revealed that it will deploy its 16 platforms and offices in all 774 local government areas to sensitise Nigerians and address misconceptions about the new tax laws.
The Director-General of the NOA, Lanre Issa-Onilu, disclosed this at the inauguration of a joint committee of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms and the NOA in Abuja.
He was represented at the event by the NOA Director of Planning, Research and Statistics, Nura Akobi.
Issa-Onilu said the committee would develop the implementation framework for the new tax regime and work closely with community groups, civil society organisations and the informal sector.
Also speaking, the Special Adviser to the President on Economic Affairs, Tope Fasua, said the committee would help dispel misinformation and disinformation surrounding the tax reforms.
