The chairman of Oyo State Teaching Service Commission, Mrs. Olubukola Oladipo, has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah in Oyo State, Nigeria, and across the world on the occasion of the Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1448 AH.
In a special message, Mrs. Oladipo submitted that the new Islamic year is the time for reflection, gratitude, renewed faith, and commitment to the values of righteousness, sacrifice, peaceful coexistence, and service to humanity.
She noted that at this special season when the people of Oyo State are still praying for the safe release of abducted students and teachers from the Oriire Local Government of the state, the Hijrah celebration must be used to offer more supplications to Allah.
The Oyo TESCOM boss also said that the lessons derivable from Hijrah that include perseverance, hope, courage and trust in Almighty Allah should be deployed to the advantage of the people of the country in this season of national challenge.
