It is no longer news that after meeting with former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his residence in Abeokuta, major political stakeholders in Oyo State led by Senator Rashidi Ladoja, Chief Michael Koleoso and Chief Olayiwola Olakojo, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) have inaugurated their caretaker committee.
The 9-man committee which was inaugurated by the party’s National Chairman, Ralph Nwosu now has Dr. Femi Majekodunmi and Dr. Ajadi as the Chairman and Secretary respectively had Reverend Ezekiel, Dr. Busari Adebisi, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, Chief Michael Koleoso, Chief Olayiwola Olakojo, Senator Monsurat Sunmonu and Hon. Fatai Salam as members.
The newly inaugurated committee is saddled with the responsibility of taking over the affairs of the party by spearheading the conduct of the forthcoming ward, local and state congresses in the state.
The ward and local government congresses of the party have been slated for 7th and 8th of August, 2018, while the state congress will be holding on 11th of August, 2018.
Others present at the inauguration included former Oyo Deputy Governor, Taofeek Arapaja, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin, Barrister Sharafadeen Ali, Remi Olaniyan, Yunus Akintunde and Senator Gbenga Babalola among others.
It will be recalled that major political major political players in Oyo State led by chieftains and representatives of People Democratic Party, (PDP), Senator Rashidi Ladoja, Labour Party (LP), Chief Michael Koleoso and the state Coordinator, Coalition for Nigeria Movement (CNM), Chief Olayiwola Olakojo have visited former President Olusegun Obasanjo in his residence at hilltop Mansion in Abeokuta, Ogun State to fine-tune the way forward for the party in preparation for the coming general elections.
Others in attendance at the meeting were former SUBEB Chairman, Dr. Busari Adebisi, Senator Monsurat Sunmonu, former APC Vice Chairman, Alhaji Isiaka Alimi, Alhaji Gani Alade, former Secretary to the State Government, Olayiwola Olakojo and Deputy Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. AbdulWasi Musah, who led other 15 members of the assembly to the meeting.
