Oba of Benin, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, has assured Nigerians of better days ahead.
He spoke on Tuesday at his palace during the universal week of prayers by Benin Christian community.
He read from the Bible, despite practicing African spirituality.
In an online statement by the first-class monarch’s Chief Press Secretary, Osaigbovo Iguobaro, members of the royal family, Benin chiefs, palace functionaries and royal fans were excited when Oba of Benin read Psalm 23:1 (The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want).
The eminent traditional ruler, in his goodwill message at the solemn assembly, hailed his prayer partners and subjects for their support since he ascended the throne of his forebears, stressing that God’s time is the best.
