Professor Taoheed Adedoja, one of the candidates that contested for the chairmanship post of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at its convention held in Abuja on Saturday has spoken about his present stand.

He announced that he was aggrieved but hopeful on the future of the party.

Speaking with news men in Abuja on Sunday, the former minister of Sports and Special Duties said the he was not happy about the whole exercise as he thought the party would have learnt its lessons from its past mistakes.

Adedoja, however, pleaded with the members of the Board of Trustees of the Party as its conscience to quickly swing into action by setting up  a high powered Committee to investigate what went wrong in the conduct of the exercise.

He pointed out that it was only an insane person that would say the last National Convention of the Party went through due process, saying “the conduct of the National Convention was nothing, it was characterized with impunity which must  be reviewed in order to avert further crisis in the Party”

According to him, “a week to our Convention, a list tagged ‘Unity list’ contained the names of the winners in the convention  was circulating around ‎and after the convention only one name was missing, So the BoT should find out what went wrong”.
