The Head of Operations at the Ibadan Office of the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), Sadiq Danjuma Ibrahim, Tuesday, revealed that 26 filling stations have been sealed in Oyo state by the body.
Ibrahim revealed this while speaking with newsmen shortly after leading a team of DPR to seal five filling stations in Olomi area of Ibadan yesterday.
The Head of Operations of the Ibadan office of DPR maintained that the affected filling stations were sealed for various offences ranging from selling above recommended N145 per litre and hoarding of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).
The filling stations sealed at Olomi area of Oyo Ibadan included; Solace Global Resources Limited, NURDOK Energy, RBK Global Petroleum, and Deenbas International Limited.
Ibrahim declared that DPR will not fold its arms and allow petroleum marketers in Oyo state to fix prices of petroleum products by themselves arbitrarily.
He revealed that the clampdown on offenders will be a continuous exercise, urging members of the public to furnish the body with information on filling stations selling above N145 per litre.
