“Oh, how I wish I can turn back the hands of the clock! Don’t mind me, anytime I have reasons to think of my mother, Alhaja Wosilat Omobonike Apinke Adebiyi, who recently died at a very ripe age, this is the kind of feeling built up inside me. When I was growing up, I used to think my mother was very wicked. She was a great disciplinarian. She would go to any length to ensure that discipline was maintained in the house. She was a total and absolute disciplinarian. It took me so long to get to know that she wanted the very best for me. We later grew so close. Even at my age, when she died recently, I thought I would not be able to live without her. To me, she was a mother who could lecture other mothers on mothering…May her great soul continue to rest in peace”.
