“My mother, Chief (Mrs.) Erelu Mary Afolayan taught me so many things; she taught me that there is dignity of labour, how to be a good woman, how to carry myself as a woman, and how to earn respect as a woman. Above all, she taught me while growing up as a young girl how to be hardworking and truthful always. She used to tell me to always remember the child of whom I am and not do anything that will tarnish my family’s name or bring ridicule and shame to my family. She made me know that any girl that wishes to excel in the Nigerian society must be educated, well educated, go to school, and get to the peak of education. She also taught me self-confidence.”
