Monitoring Of UTME Examination: Oyo NSCDC Commandant Commends Officers For Professional Conduct

The Oyo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Oyo State Command, Commandant Augustine Padonu, has commended the officials of the security agency for their display of professionalism and commitment during the monitoring of the 2024 jamb examination.

The commandant stated this during the monitoring of the ongoing examination nationwide while stating that the strategic effort is a testament to the collaboration between NSCDC and the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

He said, “A total of 150 NSCDC personnel have been deployed to the 43 accredited CBT centres across the State to provide security, prevent intrusion of unwanted persons and uphold the integrity of the examination.

“Our personnel are well trained, and I can assure the examination body, JAMB, and the candidates that the conduct of the examination will be hitch-free.”

During his visit to the Polytechnic, Ibadan centre, Commandant Padonu was pleased to witness a high level of orderliness.

Professor Ahmed, the Supervisor of the centre, commended the NSCDC while expressing his satisfaction at the personnel posted to the centre for their cooperation and promptness.

Commandant Padonu further urged the candidates to abide by the rules and regulations guiding the examination, while advising parents to stay away from the examination centres as irregularities will not be condoned.

He added that the NSCDC remains committed to its mandate of providing security and promoting a secure and transparent examination environment for the benefit of all stakeholders involved.
