Arrangements are in top gear to officially launch the books authored by Mrs. Ikimot Adesola Azeez, a senior Academic Technologist at the Biological Science Department of Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ogun State.
The books, entitled Your Health: A Prior Responsibility and A Guide to Practical Biology and Microbiology will be presented officially to the public on May 10, 2018 at Providence Centre, Moshood Abiola Way, beside NNPC Mega Station, Leme, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The book, a 46-page “Your Health: A Prior Responsibility” according to the author, Ikimot Azeez, focuses on measures and major steps to follow in order to improve health condition as well as ensuring good living to prevent disease incidence.
The author further revealed that the book has major objective for everyone that cherishes his or her well being and existence, with the purpose of maintaining good health.
Prof. O. B. Kehinde of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta who prefaced the 114-page book, “A Guide to Practical Biology and Microbiology”, commended the effort of Mrs. Azeez (nee Bakenne), who had her first degree in Biochemistry and Maters Degree in Medical Microbiology from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State for her contribution to the study of Biology, Microbiology and Biotechnology, especially the practical aspect of the field of study.
He explained that the book presented various methods of laboratory practice in a concise manner that will make it easy to comprehend. Prof. Kehinde also added that in order to clearly outline the procedures involved and instruments used in laboratory techniques, diagrams, pictures and annotations were employed to assist in comprehending the concept.
The University don further established that Ikimot Azeez’s book is a compendium of many laboratory practices which are usually carried out by science students in higher institutions and research as well as diagnostic laboratories.
The book launch, according to the author, is expected to witness the presence of the creamiest in the society ranging from academics, political big wigs and every other stakeholder across the country.
