Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi who represents Oyo South senatorial district at the National Assembly has concluded arrangements for the official commissioning and handing over of fully equipped Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre donated by him for the use of pensioners in Oyo State.
PMParrot gathered that the event, which holds on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Nigerian Union of Pensioners’ House located at Agbarigo-Onireke, Ibadan will start by 10am.
A source close to the Senator informed that many prominent politicians from within and outside Oyo State will be present at the event.
“It is not a political thing”, said our source who also added that “the Senator is strictly out to put smiles on the faces of pensioners. He knows they need to be engaged after serving the nation in different capacities, hence, his decision to equip their place. They will have the opportunity of acquiring ICT training.
“Those who know Soji Akanbi can testify to it that he looks out for the opportunity to add value to the lives of his people. He is happy when his people are happy. That is why he lifts a finger in support always. He knows he cannot satisfy everybody and take care of the needs of all segments of the society, but he is trying his very best”.
