The Coalition for a Better Nigeria, which is an alliance of hundreds of pro – democracy Organisations, is organising its 7th National discourse “2018/2019 Elections and a careful search for a Better Nigeria” to be discussed by a legal luminary cum human Rights’ activist, Comrade Gbenga Awosode on Mon 11 June 2018 at Eleganza Sports’ Centre, old Epetedo Hall, Lagos Island LCDA, by 11am prompt, in commemoration of 24th year anniversary of self declaration as the President – Elect by the Late Bashorun MKO Abiola, in June 11, 1994 at the same Epetedo Hall.
The Chairman of occasion, according to a release from the group, is Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, will be the Special Guest of Honour, while Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Senator Abiola Ajimobi and Dr Kayode Fayemi, the Executive Governors of Osun State, Oyo State and the APC Gubernatorial Candidate in Ekiti State respectively will be the Guests of Honour.
Father and Mother of the day are Senator Biyi Durojaiye and Prof Sophie Oluwole.
The Chief Host, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, Executive Governor of Lagos State, will bag ‘Architect Of Modern Lagos Award’, in form of a beautifully carved Eyo Masqurade, as a follow up to the ‘Father Of Modern Lagos Award’ bestowed on Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, last year during the 6th National discourse.
