Activities within the political scene in Oyo State are being revved up with the Wednesday declaration of ex Governor of the state, Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao Akala for the seat of the state’s number one man in 2019.
As expected, Akala made is intention to contest know in the presence of a large crowd of supporters from his present political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Alao-Akala made his intention known after receiving letters of offer to contest presented to him by the chairman of Akala Support Group, Dr Fola Akinosun, at his Bodija residence, Ibadan.
While addressing his supporters, the former governor pledged that he would not disappoint all those who hold him in high esteem and that he would work had to ensure the progress of the state if he is given the opportunity to serve as governor.
