Ogun State House of Assembly will continue to build strong partnership with all stakeholders through effective legislations and support to the executive arm of government towards achieving the success of the affordable qualitative health care programme and other welfare programmes for the benefit of the citizenry.
The Speaker, Rt Hon. Suraju Ishola Adekunbi, gave the assurance while receiving members of the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria, Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, (OOUTH), Chapter led by Dr Adekunle Ariba.
Adekunbi underscored the need to continue to strengthen the preventive aspect of medicare rather than curative to promote a healthy society, commending the efforts of the health professionals at ensuring that the health care system of the State rank top amongst the five cardinal programmes of the State government.
The speaker, who lauded them for their high level of patriotism, professionalism and dedication to serve humanity, enjoined them to continue to support government in its resolve to make affordable health care delivery system to the people of the State.
Earlier in his speech, the Chairman, Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria, OOUTH Chapter, Dr. Ariba, said the association consisted of experts who specialised in all aspects of health care, adding that the preventive aspect of health service delivery was critical to a healthy life style of the people.
He commended the present administration’s efforts in providing qualitative health service, saying the Association would continue to give necessary support and as well sustain the quality of health service delivery to the people across the State.
