She noted that the Ministry equally prepared database and development plans of structures along Ogun Standard  roads across the State.

Sokefun remarked that the Ministry had been playing a pivotal role in the Homeowners Charter programme, which according to her had reduced the stock of illegal residential buildings within the State as the scheme had provided opportunity for defaulting property owners to regularise the status and documentation of their properties.

The Commissioner while responding to the status of the ongoing ‘Project Go’ on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, stated that the plantation of trees and beautification of Environment would commence immediately contractors round up with road construction on the highways in the State.

In their submissions, members of the Committee including Adeyinka Mafe, Olayiwola Ojodu, Adebiyi Adeleye and Akinpelu Aina applauded the Ministry for providing an orderly and pleasing environment for good living as well as its intensive revenue drive, charging the management of the Ministry to redouble its efforts on revenue generation.

The Committee also assessed the budget performance of the State Urban and Regional Planning Board which monitored the conformity to the various building approvals giving during constructions.

In another development, the State Ministry of Housing has explained that the ongoing renovation of the old Governor’s office was aimed at protecting and projecting the legacy of the past leaders of the gateway State.

Yetunde Sogbein-Adekanbi to assess her Ministry’s budget performance added that the Ministry was stepping up plans to ensure the speedy completion of works on the Ogere International Market.

The Committee also visited the State Housing Corporation.
