The gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Oyo State, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin (SOLAN), has assured indigenes and residents of Oke-Ogun area of the State the inclusion of Ibadan-Iseyin-Saki road in the first part of projects he will award for rehabilitation when eventually he emerges as governor.

Senator Lanlehin disclosed this at Saki when he attended Annual Saki Day celebration held on Saturday, 15th December, 2018.

Lanlehin berated Governor Abiola Ajimobi for neglecting the Oke-Ogun zone in the last eight years of his administration despite huge potentials abounding in the axis.

“I wondered why the state government hasn’t deemed it fit to rehabilitate the Ibadan-Iseyin-Saki road despite the huge potentials abounding in this axis.

“As I was coming from Ibadan, and seeing the level of dilapidation on the road, I told myself that the Ibadan-Iseyin-Saki road would be one of our first projects.”

While speaking on the state of things at Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Senator Lanlehin lamented the neglect of the institution, he noted that no government which truly loves the people of Saki will abandon such institution, as it serves as center of commerce of the town.

“We shall fund Oke- Ogun Polytechnic adequately, and indeed all tertiary institutions in Oyo State. We shall renovate and refurbish its facilities using our local contractors.

“If that’s done, benefits will trickle down to the people, and things will run smoothly”.

Senator Lanlehin challenged Governor Abiola Ajimobi to name how many investors he has attracted to the state despite his frequent overseas trips.

He assured the people of Saki the upgrading of Okere Market to an international standard that will attract investors the world over.

Senator Solagbade Olufemi Lanlehin urged the people to maintain vigilance during voting, counting and collation in order to prevent whatever sinister plans APC might want to orchestrate.

He intimated them that the handshake, which is the logo of ADC already showed that it is a party that is committed to friendship, togetherness and unity, of which identity it is determined to maintain.

Senator Lanlehin was accompanied to the event by his running mate, Alh Saheed Adejare Alaran, ADC’s Oyo North senatorial candidate, Barrister Bayo Lawal, Oyo State House of Assembly’s Deputy Speaker and Saki East/West and Atisbo Federal Constituency candidate, Hon. Abdulwasi Musah and Director General, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin Campaign Organization (SOLANCO), Arch. Bashir Lawal.

Others included Hon Tajudeen Olori, ADC candidate, Iwajowa State Constituency, Hon Afeez Adeleke, Member representing Iseyin State Constituency, Alh. Muslim Oyedemi (Musio) and Alh Rafiu Afuku.
