The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has confirmed a second term seat for Senator Abdulfatai Buhari to represent Oyo North Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
According to official results announced by INEC at the collation centre in Iseyin, Senator Buhari, contesting on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), polled a total of 107,703 votes while his close rival, Hon Mulikat Akande Adeola of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scored 89,365 votes.
The Presiding officer, Professor Jonathan Aileru, while announcing the result said “Senator Buhari having polled the highest vote in the election is hereby re-elected as the Senator representing Oyo North”
Supporters of the erudite politician have been celebrating his victory saying that he worked hard and deserves to win.
