Members of the Oyo State House of Assembly, led by the Speaker, Hon. Olagunju Ojo have paid a condolence visit to the family of the slain House of Representatives member, Hon. Temitope Olatoye Sugar.
Hon. Olusegun Ajanaku, representing Ibadan South West constituency 2 raised the motion under ‘personal’ during the plenary on Thursday, March 14, 2019.
While at the residence of the deceased’s family at Alakia Area of Ibadan, Hon. Olagunju Ojo described the incident as unfortunate.
The House of Assembly speaker prayed that the Almighty God give the family fortitude to bear the loss.
The condolence message reads:
“Oyo State House of Assembly lead by the Speaker and honourable members commiserates with the family of the late Hon. Olatoye Temitope a.k.a Sugar on his sudden death.
“How are the mighty fallen and the weapons of war perished.
“May your soul Rest in Peace. Adieu Olatoye Temitope a.k.a Sugar.”
Hon. Joshua Olagunju, who represents Akinyele constituency 1, thereby led in prayer for the family of Hon. Temitope Sugar who was murdered by yet to be identified gun men.
In the company of the Speaker were Majority Leader, Hon. Kehinde Subair, Minority Leader, Hon. Akeem Ige, Hon. Olusegun Ajanaku, Hon. Olusegun Olaleye, Hon. Fatai Adesina and Hon. Wumi Oladeji among others.
