The family of Dr Oluwole Oluleye, the deceased prominent Efon Alaaye, Ekiti technocrat and son of late General JJ Oluleye, has released plans to give him a befitting burial.
Following his sudden death on the 29th March 2019, Oluwole, popularly known as the Oluomo of Efon Alaaye Kingdom in Ekiti State, his community was thrown into mourning.
However, his son, Mr. Temidayo Oluleye, has said in a statement made available to PMParrot, that his father deserved to be celebrated.
Going by the details of the burial arrangements, it was revealed that on April 12th, 2019; there will be a Service of Songs /Tribute Night at his residence at Minister’s Hill in Abuja by 6:00pm.
The statement continued “By April 16th 2019; there will also be a Christian Wake for the late Oluomo Oluwole Oluleye at his Country Home located at Oniyo Layout, Efon Alaaye in Ekiti State by 5:00pm while on April 17th, 2019, a Funeral Service will hold at St. Paul’s Anglican Church at Idagba in Efon Alaaye, Ekiti State by 11:00am after which Internment
follows immediately at his Residence”.
In an earlier release signed by Mr. Temidayo Oluleye (son of the deceased) announcing his father’s death officially after a brief illness, “the deceased was born on the 9th January 1953 into the Families of Late Pa Major General J.J. Oluleye, the former Minister of Finance during the Military regime of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo as the Head of State in 1979”.
According to the statement “Dr. Oluwole Oluleye was said to have had a very fulfilling career spanning through 33 years as both a Public Servant and a Technocrat. He worked at the National Productivity Centre (NPC), the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA), as the Pioneer Executive Secretary, and the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) as the Executive Secretary, amongst other national assignments. After years of meritorious service to Nigeria, he went back to his first love; Livestock farming which he set up in his home town”.
“The Late Dr. Oluwole Oluleye was a lover of golf, soccer and lawn tennis. He survived by his wife, children, grand-children, brothers and sisters”.
