The appointment of the first executive governor of Ekiti State, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo as the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment by President Muhammadu Buhari has been described as a square peg in a square hole.
Ekiti State Commissioner for Investment, Trade and Industries, Chief David Olusoga, made the statement in his congratulatory message to the Minister.
Chief Olusoga said that the appointment of Otunba Adebayo, an industrialist per excellence was commendable, especially at a time the present administration in the State was traversing the length and breadth of the globe for investors that would come and support in the development of the economy.
He stressed that allocating such portfolio to an erudite Ekiti leader was a dream come true.
He further stated that the state and particularly his Ministry were eager to have a perfect and robust working relationship with the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investments, so as to move the state to the next level of economic transformation.
While appreciating the President for the choice of Otunba Adebayo as Ekiti representative in his cabinet, Olusoga charged the Minister to put in his best to support the President in his quest to fulfill his electioneering promises to the people of Nigeria.
