Benfica defender, Tyronne Ebuehi has been called up to replace injured Kenneth Omeruo in Nigeria’s Super Eagles squad for the friendly against Brazil at National Stadium, Singapore on October 13.
Omeruo picked up an injury in training during the week with his Spanish club, Leganes and was left out of the Saturday’s LaLiga home clash against Levante.
The centre-back missed Nigeria’s last friendly against Ukraine at the Dnipro Arena as a result of visa issues.
Ebuehi was invited for the game but later withdrew from the squad due to injury.
The right-back recently returned to action for Benfica and is now set to make his first appearance for the Super Eagles in over a year.
The former ADO Den Haag missed the whole of last season after picking up a cruciate ligament injury in training.
He missed out on a place in Nigeria’s squad to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt after failing to recover in time from the injury.
