The President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government has announced the postponement of the 2019 edition of Abuja carnival with about 48 hours to its takeoff.
A terse statement issued on Tuesday evening by the Chief Press Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Culture, Joe Mutah, apologised to all invited guests for any inconvenience the postponement might have caused.
He said a new date will be announced for the carnival in due course but gave no reason for the postponement.
