COVID-19 Cases Rise To 111 In Nigeria, Lagos Nine, FCT Five

Moments after President Muhammadu Buhari addressed Nigerians on the issue of the raging novel coronavirus, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported fourteen new cases in the country, taking the total number of infections to 111.

According to the NCDC, “Fourteen new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria; nine in Lagos and five in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

“As at 09:30 pm 29th March there are 111 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria with 1 death.

Earlier on Saturday, the shocking report of the positive COVID-19 statuses Professors Abiodun Otegbayo and Olubunmi Olapade-Olaopa, the Chief Medical Director of UCH and the Provost of University of Ibadan’s College of Medicine respectively shocked Nigerians.

Many states of Nigeria have since then been taking additional measures to ensure that the spread of the virus is reduced.
