The hope of Turkish Lig 1 side, Galatasaray to permanently acquire the service of Nigeria’s Super Eagles winger, Henry Onyekuru is in jeopardy as the French Ligue 1 outfit, Monaco insisting on parting with the skillful player for €13million.

According to reports in the Turkish tabloid, Sabah, Monaco, who outbid Galatasaray for the service of the former Anderlecht loan player, is seeking €13million, from any club that is interested in the fast winger, the same amount they acquired him from Everton.

According to the reports, the financial crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, has affected the Monaco based club and they are not ready to sell Onyekuru for nothing less.

Galatasaray, who are in the same financial situation because of the pandemic, are not ready to cough outf the said amount and may look elsewhere for an alternative player.

Last summer, Galatasaray were priced out of a deal for the Nigerian with Everton insisting on selling him outright rather than sending him on another loan to the Turkish champions.

Onyekuru had to seek a loan move to Galatasaray when he was not given a playing time at Monaco.

The 22-year-old has played nine games in all competitions, including six starts, since returning to Galatasaray in January 2020.
