Not less than 1150 households in Afijio state constituency have benefited from Hon. Seyi Adisa and Afijio Business Community as they gave out palliatives.

The initiative was aimed by the private sector players in collaboration with the lawmaker representing the constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly to provide relief and cushion the effect of stay-at-home directives for families across towns within the constituency.

The gesture, which was coordinated and implemented by the office of the lawmaker, Hon. Seyi Adisa included food packs of beans, garri, frozen chicken and turkey and spaghetti for 1150 families.

Speaking at the point of distribution, the young legislator reiterated that partnership remains one of the key methods he keeps deploying to make things work.

“Firstly, I am grateful to the private sector players in Afijio community for partnering with us to make this happen. The management of Bond Group of Companies under the leadership of Mr. Aderemi Omotosho, Amo Byng Poultry Farm of Mr. Ayoola Oduntan, Best Legacy International School, including Mr. Tosho Akinrinola, Ms. Wendy Wen from the United Kingdom and other individuals and friends who joined us to provide more relief to my people during this period.

“This is the second installment of relief materials we have given, and this is why I keep reiterating the need to deploy partnerships to get more things done. That is what our mantra, ‘EJEKASEYI’ is all about. In fact, one of our donors today, Genesis Farms, are not exactly in Afijio, but they joined us because they share this vision of continuous and direct impact, especially during this time,” Hon. Adisa stated.

In addition to the palliatives, the lawmaker has also perfected plans to distribute over 7,500 nosemasks to the people, security agencies, essential service workers across the constituency.

Hon. Adisa disclosed that the move is to compliment the state government’s efforts to stop the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in Afijio and other adjoining communities.
