Bishop David Oyedepo...

Are you one of those who read on some online news platforms that Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners’ Chapel) has ‘declared’ that churches nationwide should reopen on Sunday? Well, this may be far from the truth.

PMParrot has been informed that the man of God never made that kind of declaration at any time.

While speaking with us, the spokesman for the popular cleric, Professor Sheriff Folarin informed that the purported statement was perhaps generated from a prayer point raised by Oyedepo.

According to Professor Folarin, “Baba didn’t direct churches to open or request his members to resume. It was a prayer point he raised”.

Folarin continued “It was a call for divine intervention. As I am chatting with you this Saturday evening, we are prepared for our three online services as usual.

“People should stop misunderstanding Bishop Oyedepo just because of some grudges or dislike they had had for him already.

“How many of them reacted and praised him when he started donating and keeps donating to human-welfare as the  lockdown persists? He’s decreeing that the gates of hell shall be crushed and churches will open soon again”.

On Friday, some online platforms reported that Oyedepo had ‘declared the re-opening of all churches nationwide’.

The popular cleric was even quoted as saying “the doors to churches across Nations are again declared opened this morning. Can I tell you this? Hunger is far more devastating than any virus that will ever visit the earth. It kills silently. There is no vaccine for hunger”.
