English Premier League side, Southampton have joined other European big clubs linked with a move for Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Dennis.
Daily Echo UK citing Voetbalkrant has revealed that the Saints are willing to use their defender Wesley Hoedt as a make-weight in any potential deal to bring the Skillful player, who made his debut for the Nigeria senior team on 10 September 2019 in a 2–2 friendly draw to Ukraine, coming on as a 82nd-minute substitute for Samuel Chukwueze, to the St Mary’s stadium.
Sheffield United and lately Marseille have reportedly expressed interest in the coveted striker who is valued in the region of €20 million by Club Brugge.
However, the report suggest the inclusion of Hoedt in the negotiation could help the club reduce Brugge’s asking price for the Nigerian.
Dennis has played nonstop at Club Brugge since 2017 after transferring from Zorya Lugansk in Ukraine.
The 22-year-old has helped Club Brugge win two First Division A titles since his arrival in Belgium and is credited with 28 goals in 105 appearances for the West Flanders club.
