The founder of Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation, Otunba Hassan Giwa has charged EndSARS protesters to pursue their grievances peacefully without any form of violence.
Arc. Giwa, while reacting to the incidents of loss of lives occasioned by series of confrontations at the protest ground across the country, disclosed that it is important for the protesters to be vigilant and not allow hoodlums to hijack the exercise.
He maintained that the confrontations if not well managed will affect the progress of demands of the protesters.
EndSARS protest is a call for systemic reform of the Nigerian Police Force by different individuals, groups and civil organizations in Nigeria and around the world.
While lending his voice in support of the protest, Giwa expressed that no life is worthy of being sacrificed, and called for caution to ensure that no more life is lost.
He charged the protesters to be more vigilant and ensure that hoodlums are not allowed to hijack the process as it happened in Osun State, where Governor Adegboyega Oyetola was attacked by the suspected hoodlums in the midst of protest.
The HOG Foundation boss described the incident in Osun State as unfortunate and unnecessary which can be addressed with more understanding by the two parties involved.
Giwa called on President Muhammadu Buhari and state governors and members of National Assembly to come together and form a common front to address the demands of the protesters and many other germane issues in the country and proffer final solutions to them.
