Wife of the Caretaker Chairman of IREPODUN Local Council Development Area of Oyo State, Mrs. Basirat Oladimeji has presented gifts to babies of the year at Akorede Primary Health Care Center, Sango in the council area.
Some of the items presented were cash, baby walkers, baby beds, toiletries, sanitary pad, baby wears and other useful materials.
Mrs. Oladimeji said that the gesture was in line with the present administration under the leadership of Engineer Seyi Makinde and his wife, Funke to give adequate attention to the care and development of women and their children.
She stressed that, her husband, Hon. Oladimeji Kamarudeen, who is the caretaker Chairman of Irepodun LCDA, has taken the welfare of every citizen within the local government especially mothers and their children as a priority.
She advised mothers to concentrate more on the care of their children particularly in the area of breastfeeding. The council boss’ wife added that they should breastfeed their children for the specified period without adding anything for growth and development of brain of the children.
Mrs. Oladimeji welcomed Mohammed’s baby, a girl who was born on January 1st, 2021 at 7:05am and the first baby in the council area. Others who also received gifts from Mrs. Oladimeji were Oyeniyi’s baby and Adeagbo’s baby.
While responding, one of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Oyeniyi Oluwafemi appreciated the gesture of the wife of the Chairman.
