Cleric Tasks Nigerians On Need To Ensure Godliness

Nigerians have been urged to build their names with good deeds, stop pursuing worldly and material things as these will not please heaven because Godliness is important.

This was just as a deceased’s family, the Bamideles and their deceased matriarch’s church, Victory Life Ministries International have established a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), named Mary Titilola Bamidele Foundation, in honour of the deceased and to support indigent women and the girl child.

Bishop David Abioye of the Living Faith Church, Goshen City, Abuja, gave the advice on doing good works to Nigerians at the Burial Service for late Rev. (Mrs) Mary Titilola Bamidele, Co-founder, Victory Life Ministries International and Wife of the Overseer, Victory Chapel International, Bishop Mike Bamidele, which was held at the couple’s hometown, Eagle’s Nest, Ogbomoso, Oyo State.

Admonishing that good works is better than amassing wealth to increase one’s popularity, Bishop Abioye said: “the value we add, not what we possess, the character we exhibit not the charisma, the services we render not our status will continue to live in the hearts of people at our departure.”

In his sermon, titled, ”What Will You Be Remembered For”? Bishop Abioye said those who pursue fame will end up with immaterial things, while the name from God will place one in better stead”.

While drawing Biblical examples of both Jesus Christ and Joseph’s earthly journeys as perfect examples of building one’s name with good works, he said: ”Jesus never sought fame but a good name from God. Heaven has no respect for fame or social status.

”Reputation can be falsely built. It’s your character that determines who you are. Joseph’s reputation was badly damaged but one day, his character spoke for him. The service you render is the most important thing. Luke 22:27. The title will die with the holder. May our names not die when we die”.

The burial ceremony also featured the inauguration of the NGO, named after late Rev. (Mrs.) Mary Titilola Bamidele which was founded to promote women’s health and the girl child education.

According to the founder, Bishop Bamidele, the NGO shall equally spread its tentacles to support indigent women and vulnerable people and fundamentally raise children that are Godly and value-oriented.

Speaking further about the mission and vision of the NGO, he said: “the Foundation is put in place in honor of the memory of Rev. Mrs. Mary Titilola Abiodun Bamidele, the Co-Founder of Victory Life Ministries International.

“The vision of the Foundation is to help others to live in a world where no woman dies because she cannot pay for healthcare, where no child is discriminated against from being educated because she is a girl. A world where every young person has moral and spiritual values that can help their journey to heaven. To sponsor and help indigent women and disadvantaged girls through education and adequate health care

“The Foundation shall also assist to provide medical support for indigent women; to ensure that children are safe, healthy, and protected at home, in schools and communities; educational advancement for the girl child through support and educational training; to be self-sustainable for the youth through the capacity building and empowerment; to mobilize resources and establish educational opportunities for the vulnerable children; to preach values that will help the youth develop into better persons for a better society and service for humanity”.

Bishop Bamidele added that membership of the NGO is open to persons or institutions who subscribe to its aims and objectives and such other persons as the Board of Directors may from time to time admit.

He said further: “Categories of the Foundation members include the Life members from N250,000 and above annually; the Diamond membership for N200,000; the Pearl membership put at N150,000; the Ruby membership for N100,000; Sapphire membership for N75,000; Emerald membership for N50,000; Topaz membership for N25,000

“Other categories include; the Student/BBC (Beauty, Brains, and character clubs) for N12,000; Children/BBC (Beauty, Brains, and Character clubs) for FREE as well as the One-time donations.

“The bank account details for this purpose of the Foundation are domiciled at the GTBank with the account number 0124835116 and Bamidele Titilola as the Account Name,” he said. The Foundation can be reached with this mobile number 08033785656 in case of any further enquiries”.
