The Authorities of the Ekiti State University in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State has released the guidelines and the details on the Academic Activities ahead of the January 18th, 2021 date for the resumption of Nigerian Tertiary Institutions.
The Senate of the University at its Virtual Meeting held on Thursday, 7th January, 2021 thoroughly assessed the Global, National and the State government protocols/precautions to manage the Second Wave of the Covid-19 pandemic and decided to put the Health of the Students and Staffs first.
The Senate accordingly decided that there will be Online Classes, and this will begin across all the Faculties in the Ekiti State University on Monday, 18th January, 2021 being the continuation of the 1st Semester of the 2019/2020 Academic Session.
The Senate further stated that only the Students who have completed their prescribed payments and fees/charges will have the opportunity to join the online classes on resumption of academic activities.
All the Students of the University are advised to visit their personalized Students dashboards on the University’s portal -(www.eksuportal@eksu.edu.ng) as well as the University’s website, (www.eksu.edu.ng) for further directives on the virtual learning system.
The statement issued and signed by the Head, Directorate of Information and Corporate Affairs of the Ekiti State University, Mr. Bode Olofinmuagun also added that, “it is not compulsory for Students to be on Campus before they can participate at the Online/Virtual learning during the resumption of the Academic Activities”.
The Senate, also assured all the Students of quality teaching and learning at the Online Classes as the University had made adequate arrangements for the Exercise to be successful.
