Former Manchester City winger, Trevor Sinclair has rated Nigeria’s Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi as one of the best players in the English Premier League and Europe but pointed out that the Leicester City midfielder is underappreciated.
The Nigeria international was the unsung hero in the Foxes 3-1 win over Manchester United in the Emirates FA Cup on Sunday, preventing Bruno Fernandes from doing damage when he came on in the second half as the Red Devils searched for an equaliser.
Of the eleven Premier League matches Ndidi was not available for selection this season, Leicester City have lost five, which highlights the importance of the holding midfielder to the squad as they’ve lost only two of the 17 matches that he played.
“I actually looked at Ndidi and thought there’s not many better than him in the Premier League and probably in Europe.
“Really good player very probably underrated, undervalued. But I wouldn’t have thought he’s undervalued by Brendan and his team-mates because I’m sure they appreciate everything that it brings to that team. He makes them tick,” Sinclair, the former English international said
Ndidi, who has a contract with Leicester City until June 2024, is believed to be on the radar of the top clubs in European football.
