All is set for the Ekiti State Signage and Advertisements Agency to commence the removal of illegal billboards across the State as from Thursday, 15th day of April, 2021.
The Director General of the Agency, Mr. Olasunkanmi Onipede who made this known while addressing Newsmen in Ado Ekiti, noted that the Agency have given affected owners of the billboards adequate notice and warnings to either regularize the placement of their billboards or remove them.
According to him, any billboard erected without approval or placed inappropriately without regards to required guidelines from the Agency would be removed.
Advising owners of billboards and signs to regularize their permits as and when due, Mr. Onipede warned private practitioners, politicians and other stakeholders not to erect billboards in restricted areas such as the Governor’s Office vicinity, from chicken Republic to Ojumose area and under the overhead bridge.
