Nostalgia As Osun Monarch Celebrates Mother One Year After Her Demise

The Monarch, the Elerinmo of Erinmo Ijesa, Oba Dr. Michael Odunayo Ajayi, the Arowotawaya II was full of appreciation as he celebrated the first anniversary of his mother’s demise, Pastor Mrs. Sijuwola Ajayi.

The thanksgiving service held at the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Isegun Headquarters, Erinmo Ijesa, Osun state was well attended by many dignitaries from all walks of life.

Speaking during the thanksgiving service, the minister in-charge, Pastor M.S. Olowoniyi charged the congregation to endeavor to live a life of righteousness while admonishing the monarch to use his position to proclaim God’s words and spread the message of the goodness of God to his subjects.

The Cleric, however, stressed that traditional rulers should endeavor to please their Creator as the essence of men that they are serving while counselling them to be humble before God always.

In a chat with PMParrot at the Royal courtyard in Erinmo Ijesa on Sunday, the monarch revealed that the essence of the celebration was to appreciate God who enabled him to witness the epoch-making ceremony and for granting him long life.

The monarch, however, extolled the virtues of his late mother and narrated how she was very disciplined and impacted people’ lives with all sense of modesty.

The elated monarch maintained that the training he received from his mother was a stepping stone to his greatness as a king

According to him, “I am the most fulfilled man, I had the best mother and she loved me. My mother did everything for me, she was a strict disciplinarian”.
