The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Ekiti State chapter has organised a one-day training programme for its staff ahead of the Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise bid to commenced officially on Monday, June, 28, 2021 across the Sixteen Local Government Areas of the state.
Ekiti INEC commissioner gave the declaration of the CVR exercise to news men on Friday in Ado Ekiti
Declaring the one-day training opened, the Head of Operations of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Ekiti State, Mr. Alani Oduntan stated that the Continuous Voters Registration exercise (CVR) which starts on Monday June 28, 2021 will be opened online for the members of the public on the website address (https://cvr.inecnigeria.org) or (https://cvr.inec.gov.ng)
He said the commencement of scheduled appointments for those who want to do physical registration exercise will also kick start on the 19th of July, 2021 at the INEC State and Local Government Offices nationwide.
He added that the date for the Commencement of the physical Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) at all the other registrations centres will be communicated based on the evaluation of the security situations across the total number of 2,673 registration centres nationwide.
During the training session, the one day training programme had in attendance the Electoral Officers, Assistance Electoral Officers and the Local Training Officers (LGTO) across the Sixteen Local Government Areas participated at the Ekiti State Headquarters of the INEC.
