Although he has come to this world and left, the Station Manager of Fresh 106.9fm, Ado Ekiti, late Mr David Ajiboye is still being remembered by friends and loved ones.

- David grew up as a kid with ‘media background’. His father worked for several years as Circulation Officer at the Vanguard Newspaper. His mom is late but his father is still very much alive and lives at Elenusonso, an Ibadan suburb.
- He remains the most widely travelled Journalist in the South West of Nigeria outside Lagos. He had reasons to travel to Europe, Asia and America.
- His demise, as a journalist attracted the attention of all the Governors of the South West States of Nigeria and beyond.
- He got employed by the publishers of the Tribune Titles after his IT because he was identified as a very brilliant and forward-looking ‘apprentice’ Journalist. He earlier attended the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), Iyaganku, Ibadan. At the end of the day, he did not disappoint those who employed him.
- He single-handedly nurtured Entertainment Writers Association of Nigeria (EWANG). He got a donor that gifted a car out to the organization some 10 years ago.
- Ajiboye died on Sunday, August 8, 2021
- He was said to have died of complications arising from COVID-19.
- He is survived by wife and children
- His demise was said to have devastated his boss and friend, Dr Yinka Ayefele, the owner of Fresh FM Nigeria who has since remained inconsolable.
- Ajiboye was buried on Friday, August 13, 2021 in a quiet ceremony in Oke Imesi, Ekiti State of Nigeria
