A non-governmental organization, Ekiti South Development Agenda, has frowned at the allegation that the Ekiti south senatorial district does not have competent and eminent politicians who can govern the state.
This was released in a statement by the coordinator of the group, Comrade ldowu Afuye, and made available to PMParrot on Friday in Ado Ekiti.
Comrade Afuye described such insinuations as capable of threatening the unity of the state, while warning politicians in the state to desist from such frivolous allegations.
He stated that the recent declaration by Rt. Hon Femi Bamisile and Prince Dayo Adeyeye to contest the governorship seat is an affirmation to the seriousness of the agitation for power shift to Ekiti south.
Afuye, however, stated that aspirants such as Senator Biodun Olujimi, Dr. Kayode Adaramodu, and Professor Olusola Eleka are vigorously pursuing their governorship ambition in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which is a pointer to affirm the competency and determination of the candidates from the zone.
The group further encouraged all the gubernatorial aspirants from the Ekiti south senatorial district to remain resolute in the pursuit of their ambition, reiterating that power must shift to Ekiti south in the interest of fairness, justice and equity.
