Chinese community in Nigeria has donated a sum of N100,000 each to 80 indigents students in the country to aid their academic pursuits.
The presentation was done during the anniversary marking the celebration of the 2022 Olympic Winter Games Beijing and Chinese New Year, tagged ‘One World, One Spring, Huaxing Shines: Sharing Love Endlessly’.
Speaking, Dr. Eric Ni, the Chairman of the Chinese Industrial and Commercial Enterprises Association and Huaxing Arts Troupe in Nigeria, said, “The kind gesture was extended to them in demonstration of their love for the beneficiaries”.
He further stated that the indigents students were randomly picked, revealing that the focus was on children who might not be able to afford certain educational needs.
The Chinese New Year Calendar for Year 2022 begins on February 1 while the 2022 Olympic Winter Games will commence on February 4 in Beijing, China respectively.
