Musical artiste-cum-skit maker, Ayo Ajewole aka Woli Agba has lamented the hike in the price of fish.
In a recent video shared on his Instagram page, the indigenous comic act began by appealing to those in charge of the economy to leave no stone unturned in carrying out their duties.
He pointed out the fish he held sold for N50 as of December 2021 but now sold at N250 for two pieces.
The comedian said: “Good afternoon. Please, whoever is in charge of our economy should please do well. This fish in my hand, before when I was much younger (N10 no ta), it was sold for N10.
“Later, (o di) it became N50. As of December 2021, this fish was N50. Now, the fish seller came and sold two of this for N250.”
He added: “Kilode! (What is happening?) Shouldn’t we eat anymore? Meji (two pieces) N250 now merin (four pieces) N500.”
